Although we have never had a flea incident at SoHoCats, we

do have guidelines in place to ensure the happiness of all our

guests.  To ease your mind, we also have a plan in place should

such a situation occur.

Fleas are certainly not life threatening to your pet however they spread very quickly and easily.

With modern flea treatments, keeping these guys as bay is a pretty simple task. Today's treatments are generally very safe and have the ability to penetrate all life cycles of the flea and interrupt their ability to infest.

We DO NOT require your cat to have a flea treatment prior to boarding unless:

​

your cat goes outside - even on a leash

you have another pet in the household that goes outside

your kitty has been around any other animal that could transfer a flea

​

Remember YOU can transfer a flea from a friend's pet to your home on your own clothing.
